It's in no way patronising to say that writing an essay can be one of the hardest things you have to do: it's one of those things that's easy once you know how, but often incredibly difficult until that magic "eureka" moment.
Over the course of a typical three-year Bachelors degree you can expect to write up to 30 of the damn things, totalling over 100,000 words. To put things in perspective, that's like asking you to write a full novel, complete with back-up work and research.
Fortunately there are plenty of resources available to help you make light work of any assignment your tutor might throw at you, and we've come up with this special Essay Tips section of the 24houressay.co.uk website to provide everything you need to get a top grade.

As well as getting some of our own academic staff to write articles about subjects such as research and structure, we've also scoured the internet to bring you the best related videos. We've contextualised everything we tell you about (for example, giving you the history of rhetoric in order to help you understand how this important argumentative art form grew and was subsequently lost), and we've included clear examples that will help you understand all the points being discussed. Essay writing isn't rocket science, but it can be hard to understand until suddenly the penny drops and it seems much easier - our aim with these articles is to encourage that penny-dropping moment to arrive as soon as possible.
We regularly update this section with new content, and it's rapidly growing into a one-stop shop for essay writing advice and tips. In late 2008, we started work on an ambitious new dynamic Help Service, which we aim to launch in early 2010 - this will combine interactive examples and demonstrations with real-time one-to-one personal advice and answers to key questions. It's in the Beta stage at the moment, but we'll make it public as soon as possible and we hope you'll find it extremely useful. In the meantime, we hope you find these articles useful, and if you have any questions or comments about this section of the website, or if there's something you'd like us to consider adding, please contact us.
