Terms & Conditions

Please take a moment to read through these terms and conditions before you place your order.

NOTE: on this page, 'We' refers to 24houressay.co.uk and 'You' refers to the customer.'The work' refers to the essay, dissertation or other work purchased from us. When you have purchased more than one piece, these terms and conditions apply to each piece individually.

1 - About Us

1.1 - 24houressay.co.uk is a custom academic writing service. We make sure you find a qualified, reliable and competent writer who can writer your work to the required standard. As such, we do not write your work ourselves, nor do we enter into agreement to do so. We are not a trading organisation, we do not accept payments, and we are not a company. All agreements are between you and the writer. We limit ourselves to putting you in touch with the writer. Our liabilities are limited accordingly. All our activities are conducted in good faith. Please note: the domain .co.uk does not indicate that we are a company.

1.2 - All relevant and applicable distance selling regulations are recognised, and these terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

1.3 - 24houressay.co.uk makes a number of guarantees concerning its services. These are set out on the guarantees page, and are legally binding.

1.4 - If you wish to contact us for any reason, we request that initial contact be made using the Contact Us page.

1.5 - When you place an order through us, with your writer, you are simultaneously confirming that you have read these terms and conditions. There is a check box on the order page that you must tick to confirm this and we will not proceed with the work unless you have checked that box. We will retain a copy of your order form submission indefinitely, as evidence that you have confirmed you have read these terms and conditions. We strongly advise that you read the whole of these terms and conditions before placing your order. If you would like a PDF, .doc or .txt (or similar) copy of these terms and conditions, let us know and we'll be happy to supply you with one.

1.6 - We accept no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage that results from your use of any work ordered from us. The work is provided 'as is' and has no warranties. All work provided by us is categorised as 'intangible goods'.

1.7 - You pay the writer directly. You do not pay us. We are therefore unable to provide you with a VAT receipt. Your writer may be able to do so, if he / she has had cause to register for VAT. You should ask your writer about this directly if you have any questions. To avoid problems later on, you should mention this as soon as possible if it's very important to you. If you require a VAT receipt, we will endeavour to place your order with a writer who can provide one, although this is not always possible.

2 - About the Work That We Provide

2.1 - The work we provide is intended to be used by you as research material and should not be submitted as your own.

2.2 - The accuracy of quotes and references is not guaranteed and you should not use these without checking them first. For the most part, all quotes are fictitious and are designed to support the overall argument being made in the essay; they may well not reflect the opinion of the author or authors to which they are attributed. Furthermore, texts cited in the references, bibliography and other parts of the work may not be existant.

2.3 - We will make free unlimited revisions to the work after delivery, as long as we do not feel that you are trying to get us to effectively write another, different essay; if this is the case, we will carry out no more amendments of the work.

2.4 - If we have reason to believe, at any stage, that you are going to use, or have used, our work as your own, all guarantees shall be rendered null and void and we shall have no obligation to compensate you for any damage caused, either moral or physical, or even to continue discussing the work with you. We also reserve the right to pursue copyright claims against you, if applicable.

3 - Things We Won't Cover

3.1 - We will not write work that is inflammatory or that incites hatred, intolerance or violence.

3.2 - We will not write work that encourages or contains libel.

3.3 - We will not write work for customers who are resident in Egypt, Nigeria, Iraq, North Korea, Colombia or Belarus; this is because international money laundering rules make it extremely difficult for us to collect payments from those countries. If you are a national of one of those countries but are living somewhere else, however, we are happy to accept your order, although you cannot pay us directly from a bank account that is based in one of those countries.

3.4 - We reserve the right to refuse to undertake work, without giving reason. We also reserve the right to cancel any agreement to provide work; if money has been paid, that money will be refunded in full, and if no money has been paid we will not be liable to compensate you in any way, either financially or otherwise.

4 - Use of the Work

4.1 - The electronic copy of the work that we provide to you is yours from the moment we send it to you by e-mail. You may do with it as you wish, at your own risk.

4.2 - We accept no responsibility for any moral or financial consequences arising from your use of the work. In particular, we accept no responsibility for any consequences whatsoever that arise for you submitting the work unaltered, or substantially unaltered, to any academic body, without giving us due attribution and credit, and we firmly insist that you must not do this.

4.3 - We reserve the right to enforce our copyright ownership, and we may keep a sealed copy of the work for reference in case of later dispute. After 1 week has passed since delivery, if there has been no dispute, we reserve the right to re-use that piece of work in part or in whole, in whatever way we see fit.

4.4 - If we believe that you are planning to submit work ordered from us as your own, we will terminate the contract immediately and publish, online, any work that has been undertaken so far, thereby rendering it useless for anyone who is aiming to submit our work as their own. If work has already been written, we may still require payment, although this is at our discretion.

4.5 - By ordering from us, you are acknowleging that you have read these terms and conditions. This is made clear on the order page, on this page, and at least once during our e-mail exchanges with you.

4.6 - In some territories, including some US states, you are not allowed to purchase a custom essay if you intend to pass it off as your own in whole or in part. By confirming that you have read these Terms and Conditions, you confirm that you are not planning to pass our work off as your own - regardless of the legal situation in any territories that apply to you.

5 - Our £2,000 No Plagiarism Guarantee

5.1 - We guarantee that if you find plagiarism in any work ordered from us, we will give you £2,000, as long as you meet the following criteria:

5.1.1 - You must have paid the full fee for the essay. You cannot claim under any of our guarantees if you have not yet paid for the essay.

5.1.2 - You must not have given us reason to believe you will be handing the work in as your own without referencing our contribution. For example, if you haven't asked us for the relevant citation details so that you can reference our writer's contribution. Our judgement on this is final.

5.1.3 - You must give us the opportunity to speak to your course leader so that we can be sure the work has not been handed in by you.

5.1.4 - You must obtain written confirmation from the writer of the original work that they are the rightful author of the work that you claim we have plagiarised.

5.1.5 - The essay must have been sent to you from 24houressay.co.uk. i.e. from an e-mail address that ends @24houressay.co.uk. If it's been sent to you by someone using any other address, e.g. a Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc. address, you can't claim under this or any other of our guarantees.

5.2 - For the purposes of this guarantee, plagiarism is defined as "the unattributed use of another's words and the disguise of those words as one's own", in other words the definition of plagiarism used in this guarantee is the generally accepted academic definition of such a practice.

5.3 - For the purposes of this guarantee, plagiarism is any section of unattributed text that runs unbroken for more than 100 words.

5.4 - In order to claim the £2,000, you must show us where you have found the text, e.g. the website, publication details etc. We reserve the right to check your claim before confirming the plagiarism.

5.5 - You must be able to prove that the claimed source was published or otherwise made available at least 7 days before the essay or dissertation was delivered to you.

5.6 - If the source is another academic work, we reserve the right not to pay out the £2,000 unless you can unequivocally prove the provenance and dating of that work to our satisfaction.

5.7 - We reserve the right to withdraw this guarantee at any time.

5.8 - In the first instance, our quality control team will judge whether or not a claim of plagiarism is fair. If you disagree with their decision, you can appeal it to our management team, who will make the final jugement.

5.9 - If you make a successful claim of plagiarism, we will pay you the £2,000 within 7 days of confirmation.

5.9 - If we believe for any reason that you have been involved in an attempt to fake plagiarism in order to collect the £2,000, we will immediately refuse to pay and the matter will be closed.

5.10 - We reserve the right to decide whether or not a claim of plagiarism is correct, and the £2,000 will be paid out only if we agree with the accusation of plagiarism.

5.11 - We reserve the right to make reasonable enquiries to ensure that the work has not been used, and we shall refund your money only affer such enquiries have been completed to our satisfaction. We may require additional information from you in order to complete these enquiries; if you fail to provide such information, we will be unable to process your application for the £2,000.

5.12 - If we believe that you have gone against our terms and conditions, for example by submitting work ordered from us as your own without substantial revision, the £2,500 No Plagiarism guarantee will be null and void and you shall not be able to make a claim.

6 - Our 100% Money Back Guarantee

6.1 - After payment, if you are in any way or for any reason unhappy with the work that we have provided we will give you a full and total refund, subject to any exclusions defined in section 6.2.

6.2 - The refund will be the amount you paid to us, less the amount paid to the writer. If you require a further refund from the writer, you will need to contact the writer using the contact information provided when you place your order.

6.3 - We reserve the right to make reasonable enquiries to ensure that the work has not been used, and we shall refund your money only affer such enquiries have been completed to our satisfaction. We may require additional information from you in order to complete these enquiries; if you fail to provide such information, we will be unable to process your application for a refund.

6.4 - If we agree to make a refund, we will do so within 7 days of that decision being communicated to you.

If it's been sent to you by someone (including a writer) using any other address, e.g. a Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc. address, our money back and No Plagiarism guarantees do not automatically apply. In such circumstances, they will apply at our discretion. Your statutory rights are not affected.
